On June 20, 2023, American Friends of Israel Navy SEALs’ Next-Generation Leadership group hosted young professionals and special guests on a private rooftop in Tribeca for cold drinks, delicious Israeli cuisine and mingling with elite Israeli naval commandos as well as fellow supporters of the State of Israel. AFINS’ Next Generation Chair Eli Moyal welcomed attendees, noted the leadership role of Shayetet-13/Israel’s Navy SEALs and the challenge of transitioning to civilian life after completing Israel’s longest and most intensive combat service. Associate Director Grant Goldberg, who also served in the Israel Defense Forces, then introduced AFINS’ programs serving the warriors, their families and others through SEAL volunteerism, and noted the importance of an engaged next-generation leadership in helping to grow awareness and support of these programs.
